This presentation will address the four strands of understanding the reign of God in the First Testament, that is, the Hebrew scriptures; next the various ways the reign of God is portrayed in the New Testament in Jesus’ exorcism, healings, and teaching; interpretation of the reign of God via-a-vis the church; and characteristics of parables, the key ways that Jesus taught about the reign of God.
