Gail Stearns
Gail was the Director of the Common Ministry of Washington State University in Pullman, WA from 2000-2011. She is Dean Emerita of the Wallace All Faiths Chapel at Chapman University where she taught Religious and Peace Studies as an Associate Professor. She is currently the Founder and Managing Partner of Stearns Insight Consulting. She engages audiences from 20 to 10,000, and creates customized workshops for corporations, service professionals, educators, churches and more. Gail has taught mindfulness to hundreds of individuals, combining mindfulness tools with years of practice in pastoral care and counseling.
She is a certified member of the International Mindfulness Teachers Association and received her Certification in Mindfulness Facilitation from UCLA.
She is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church and enjoys helping people integrate spiritual practice with mindfulness tools.
Gail is the author of: Liberating Mindfulness: From Billion Dollar Industry to Engaged Spirituality. This book will provide the underpinning of the retreat. If attendees would like to read ahead (optional), it will add to their experience.
